SATCoL joins forces with South Lakeland District Council
The Salvation Army clothing collection have partnered with South Lakeland District Council in the Staveley Spring Clean, a bid to encourage residents to donate their unwanted items.
The Spring Clean, which is taking place on 3rd March 2018, will see a number of charities and recycling groups joining together at Staveley Village Hall to welcome donations and enquiries about recycling.
Dave Green, Salvation Army Trading Company’s Account Manager in the Northern Region, is leading the way:
“I am always thrilled to hear of local councils launching initiatives in small towns and villages. Recycling and donating is really important, and we want to raise awareness in all parts of the country. The Staveley Spring Clean will hopefully generate a bit of enthusiasm for recycling in the village, and we expect a great deal of donations to come our way which will raise funds for The Salvation Army”.
