A Free Book for Every Child this World Book Day

World Book Day is a cherished event in the Salvation Army stores, giving our colleagues and volunteers the opportunity to share their passion for reading and bring new stories to life with stunning window displays and great initiatives. At SATCoL, we believe that every child deserves the chance to find new stories and discover their love for books, whether it’s escaping into a new adventure, find a familiar character or follow the stories of the heroes in their favourite series.
This year, charity shops operated by Salvation Army Trading Company are delighted to mark this occasion and invite our customers and families into our charity shops to choose one free book for every child. To mark the occasion, we will be offering this free gift during the entire week, from the 2nd to the 8th March, giving all our customers and supporters the opportunity to visit our shops and find one free book for every child. This is our way of supporting young readers and encouraging a continuous love for books.
But not only children can delve into new books. Our customers and donors are invited to find new adventures as well, from a varied selection of adult books priced at bargain prices and chosen specifically for World Book Day by our colleagues. Some of our shops have created stunning window displays, filled with book towers and bookish displays and great book recommendations.
Join us this week to celebrate World Book Day with the entire family. Bring your young ones and help them browse through our selection of free books and find some great adventures for yourself as well.
