Charity Shop Girl talks about the importance of charity shops in the community

The third episode from the second series of our Sustainable Conversation podcast launches today, with special guest Jennifer Graham, aka Charity Shop Girl. This latest series shares conversations around sustainable fashion as well as social and environmental justice topics.

Charity Shop Girl, is a trusted voice for charity retail who uses her social channels and media presence to help remove the stigma associated with charity shopping and promote second-hand fashion. Jennifer has previously championed our work by taking part in our national clothing bank campaign to encourage the public to make donations of their used textiles and give these items a new lease of life plus, as well as spending some time visiting our Chesterfield donation centre.

Jen says of her two days at our Chesterfield donation centre:

“It was a very special two days... these charity shops, they are not just charity shops, they’re not just selling clothes; what they are doing behind the scenes for the community is really, really special.”
