Influencers Jen Graham, Nicole Akong and Paige Joanna (@charityshopgirlcsg, @nicole_akong, @paigejoannaa) are joining charity shoppers and fashionistas at Salvation Army Kilo Sales to bag a bargain for £3 per kilo or less.
'Find it, weigh it, buy it' is the call to action for Salvation Army Kilo Sales hosted at the charity’s donation centres, offering members of the public the opportunity to purchase high quality preloved items and pay per kilo, with prices £3 per kilo or less. This low pricing point provides an affordable and sustainable way of shopping.

The concept of the Kilo Sale has been a more regular feature at Salvation Army donation centres in the past year, with successful events across the country. A recent sale at the Havant donation centre drew a high number of customers alongside content creators, who partnered with the charity.
Refashion stylists Nicole Akong and Paige Joanna visited the kilo sale at Havant, both of them sharing the results of their shopping on their Instagram pages, alongside exciting updates about how they upcycled and restyled some of the bargains they found. Influencer Jen Graham, aka Charity Shop Girl, is no stranger to a kilo sale either. Jen shared the amazing branded garments she found in the Chilwell kilo sale on the 14th February.
‘It is a great way to buy preloved clothes, shoes and accessories at bargain prices, and keep them in circulation for longer.’ – Nikole Akong
‘It’s such a fun way to find bargains, give clothes a second life and keep them out of landfill. I found some amazing pieces for such a low price, a skiing jacket and even some Ralph Lauren.’ – Charity Shop Girl
Nicola Crawford, Director of Retail for Salvation Army Trading Company which operates donation centres on behalf of the charity, said:
“By introducing more Kilo Sale events, we are continuing our commitment to offer sustainable fashion at affordable prices. Customers not only enjoy a great shopping experience, but the opportunity to buy great quality second-hand fashion and help reduce textile waste.”
Customers can visit their local donation centre on the event date, follow the signage towards the kilo sale location and start picking their favourite items. They can bring their own bags or purchase a bag from the shop and fill it with their choices. A member of staff will then weigh the bag and calculate the overall price, which will be between £1 to £3 depending on location.
Kilo sale events will be running in the Salvation Army donation centres throughout the year. Customers can find their local event by visiting the events section here.
