As part of Sustainable Fashion Week this year – an event dedicated to promoting sustainable practices within the fashion world - SATCoL was thrilled to host an engaging and insightful webinar with renowned fashion stylist, Rebekah Roy.

Rebekah is known for her exceptional skills in fashion styling and creative visuals for brands, designers and artists. She has worked with iconic musicians including Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Kate Nash, and more. Her expertise in creating captivating looks has earned her a reputation for pushing boundaries, but it’s her deep commitment to sustainability that truly sets her apart. Rebekah integrates eco-conscious choices into her work, proving that fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand.

In September, Rebekah visited our Kettering Business Park Processing Centre and some of our charity shops to learn about the amazing work that SATCoL continue to do in both textile reuse and recycling, and as a result, alongside our Head of Environment and Sustainability, Majonne Frost, the ‘Shop Second-Hand Like A Pro’ webinar successfully took place on 24th of September.

Throughout the webinar, Rebekah shared her extensive knowledge and offered a fresh perspective on how sustainability and style can work hand in hand. One of the highlights was our interactive Q&A session!

We invited attendees to submit their questions and the response was fantastic. Rebekah and Majonne answered with experienced insights and practical advice, leaving attendees inspired and more informed about making sustainable fashion choices. Each participant also received an ‘Exclusive Free Digital Guide’, written by Rebekah Roy. The guide focuses on tips and tricks on how to shop sustainably, how to build a capsule wardrobe, how to identify quality items and much more.
